Grace is a circular acrylic painting created in 2022, measuring 60 cm in diameter. This work is part of the Fun Collection, a body of paintings developed for the exhibition presented in Milan, where color became both subject and movement.

I painted this artwork for my friend Gracia and named it after her. The gesture was simple and personal. But as often happens in painting, what begins as something intimate becomes something universal. Grace is not only a name — it is a state. A softness. A quiet presence that does not demand attention yet transforms the space around it.

The circular format reinforces this idea. There are no corners, no interruptions. The eye moves continuously, as if following the slow rhythm of a sunset dissolving into the horizon.

The Joy of Painting as Movement

During the creation of this series, painting felt almost like dancing. The act itself was physical, rhythmic, spontaneous. There was no rigid plan. Instead, color guided the process.

The Fun Collection marked a moment of freedom in my practice. I explored the fusion of colors as if they were layered skies at dusk — different tonalities blending without conflict. Warm and cool shades coexist, dissolving into one another naturally, creating a sense of calm minimalism.

Unlike works that seek complexity through density, Grace embraces simplicity. It reflects balance rather than tension. Stillness rather than noise.

A Series Born in Milan

Grace is one of five related paintings developed for the Milan exhibition. Each piece explored the same conceptual intention: how color alone can transmit emotion without figurative elements.

In Milan, I allowed myself to enjoy painting in a very direct way. There was joy injected into every brushstroke. That joy remains embedded in the surface of the canvas.

This artwork does not narrate a story. It does not represent an object. Instead, it invites contemplation. The viewer is not asked to interpret, but to feel.

Minimalism and Emotional Atmosphere

The minimalist quality of Grace is intentional. By reducing form, color becomes the protagonist. The circular composition creates a contained universe — almost like a sun, a moon, or a suspended horizon.

The fusion of tones resembles sunsets not in a literal sense, but in sensation. The calmness reflected in the painting is not passive; it is alive, breathing through subtle transitions of light and pigment.

Grace speaks softly. But it stays.
